Stunning Snapshot of Yosemite's Horsetail Fall
This photo of Yosemite's Horsetail Fall was emailed to the KMPH newsroom by Pat Althizer with Photo Safari Yosemite. This is what the waterfall looked like on Saturday, February 18, 2012.
Pat Althizer says the shot was only available on three days in all of 2010 due to weather and water elements.
Horsetail Fall flows over the eastern edge of El Capitan in Yosemite Valley. Many people don't notice the small waterfall, but it has gained popularity as more and more visitors have seen it can glow orange during sunset in February.
