Free Kids Haircuts ALL Month of August

 

Nearly 700 jcpenney stores have renovated its sales floor to make room for three innovative brand shops dedicated to Levi’s, The Original Arizona Jean Co. and i jeans by Buffalo. 

Plus, all jcpenney salons will offer free haircuts for students grades K-6 all month long in August. Over 160,000 free haircut appointments have been booked to date.

And, the Fresno Fashion Fair store is offering deals on kids eye glasses.

Don’t Get Ripped Off! Bogus Contractors Are Out to Scam You Online

The California Contractors State Licensing Board (CSLB) is seeing a big jump in illegal and deceptive ads from Contractors offering services on popular Internet bulletin board sites like Craigslist.

It’s gotten so bad, the National Association of State Contractors Licensing Agencies (NASCLA) has issued a nationwide consumer alert.

The agencies are warning consumers that if they use craigslist or other similar websites to find a contractor, they face a real risk of hiring someone whose only goal is to rip them off.

Central California Legal Services' will be holding its Workers' Rights monthly clinic on June 20 at its offices at 2115 Kern Street, Suite 1, in downtown Fresno.

The clinic is the first of its kind collaborative effort between CCLS, Legal Aid Society-Employment Law Center (Legal Aid), and the Consulate of Mexico in Fresno, with the support of local law firm of Perez, Williams, Medina and Rodriguez

Hop On the "Sequoia Shuttle" Starting This Week!

Forget driving!

Hop on the Sequoia Shuttle to visit Sequoia National Park this summer.

Beginning Thursday, May 24, 2012 through September 9, 2012, each 16-passenger shuttle features comfortable seats, luggage space, and an informative video during the trip to the Giant Forest.

Sequoia Shuttle round-trip tickets are $15 per person and include the Park entry fee. The shuttles leave five times a day from most Visalia hotels and motels, and the city's Transit Center.

There is an additional cost of $50 to $98 for the new plates, whether they are sequential numbered plates or personalized.

Your fees help support:

There must be 7,500 reservations by April 6 before the plates can be issued.

AAA Offers Free 'Tipsy Tow' Service on New Year's Eve

Police across the country will be out in full force this New Year's holiday searching for any drunk drivers out on the road.

AAA is offering its free Tipsy Tow service to anyone who has had one too many while celebrating.

You can call 1-800-222-4357 (AAA-HELP) and someone will give you a ride and tow your car up to five miles.

You don't need to be a AAA member to take advantage of the Tipsy Tow.

The service is available from 6 p.m. Saturday, December 31 through 6 a.m. Sunday, January 1.
